Raised in Brattleboro, Cory and his wife settled in Brattleboro after several years in Bozeman. They now have three children. Since 2005, Cory has been practicing as a PE in Vermont.

Cory started his engineering career and become a licensed PE in Montana. His daughter started attending MSU in 2024, creating an opportunity for Cory to reconnect and work in Bozeman again.
About the Founder
I have led the civil engineering and site design for projects of all scales. Since 2001, I have been acting as Project Manager and primary client contact, becoming particularly skilled at navigating the permitting process and establishing project budgets for clients. I served as Principal in Charge of projects for a medium sized engineering firm from 2014 to 2024. The diverse types of projects allowed me to develop design skills ranging from fine grading for stormwater, to water, sewer, and floodproofing design. I have regularly prepared and managed the bidding process, along with construction administration.
I founded Stone Boat Consulting in 2024 with the goal of returning to more design work directly with clients. Over the first 25 years of my career I developed a unique blend of design, project management, and real estate development skills working on a wide range of project types. I pride myself on being an active listener, to understand my client’s goals and challenges, and find it important to communicate with clients throughout the life of a project. I believe in the value of a feasibility study and I enjoy collaboration with clients. I am happy to work on a vast variety of project types, and have a particular interest in site design, grading and stormwater design.
